Amanda Geiter, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant accredited by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) with a special interest in acne treatment and prevention, wound and scar management, and cosmetic dermatology. Her formal education and training includes:
- Binghamton University (Binghamton, NY) – BS, Cellular and Molecular Biology
- Upstate Medical University (Syracuse, NY) – MS, Physician Assistant Studies
Amanda has previous experience in burn surgery at the South Carolina Burn Center at MUSC, as well as trauma surgery, emergency general surgery, and surgical/trauma critical care at a level-one trauma center in Richmond, Virginia. She has dedicated her career to providing patient-centered medical care and support to patients and families during what are often the most traumatic and painful moments of their lives. This has helped her understand the importance of empathy and compassion for her patients.
Amanda is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (SCAPA), and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA).
On her days off, Amanda enjoys trips to the beach with friends, family, and her dog, Brody, with lots of sunscreen and big hats, of course. She is also an avid DIYer, crocheter, and plant lady.
